Canada’s greatest book debate is coming to the Brantford Public Library with an event that will feature rigorous discussion — and refreshments.
Wilfrid Laurier University English professor Michael Ackerman will moderate a lively debate this month between local book experts as they argue for their picks for this year’s Canada Reads winner.
Canada Reads is the CBC’s annual book debate that sees five celebrities argue for the books they believe Canadians should read in 2018. The Canada Reads debates have been running on the CBC since 2002, when Canadian musician Steven Page argued successfully for Michael Ondaatje’s In the Skin of a Lion.
