One of Canada’s most famous pop musicians played a surprise performance at Belleville’s Via station on Tuesday. Steven Page, a solo artist best-known for his days as frontman of the Barenaked Ladies, made what was described as a “whistle stop” at the Station Street train station at 2:45 p.m.
Page played four songs totally unplugged, with just his powerful vocals and an acoustic guitar. The mini-concert, which was only announced to media the previous night, took place in front of about 100 fans who applauded loudly at the end of each tune.
